Delhi Capitals (DC) – Win 2 matches out of 6: As the IPL 2021 Points Table suggest, currently Rishabh Pant led Delhi Capitals are at No.2 spot. Having won 6 of the 8 games, Delhi team is comfortably placed to qualify for playoffs.

Of the remaining 6 matches, they need to win a minimum of 2 matches to ensure their qualification. However, the team would aim to bag one of the top two spots.

Chennai Super Kings – Win 2 out of 6 remaining games: After a disastrous outing in IPL 2020, CSK was the team to beat in IPL 2021 Phase 1. MS Dhoni led team was cool, comfortable and most importantly looked settled during the 1st leg. And they have begun well in the 2nd. CSK after beating MI is now on No. 1 spot and 2 more victories out of remaining 6 matches should easily take them to playoffs.

If CSK makes it to the playoffs, it will be for a record 11th time.

Royal Challengers BangaloreWin 3 out of 7 remaining games: Virat Kohli’s team started with a bang in IPL 2021 with 4 consecutive victories. They at this stage are at No. 3 in points table with 5 victories from 7 matches with losses coming against CSK & Punjab Kings.

To qualify victory in 3 of the 7 remaining matches should be enough for RCB to qualify. RCB plays KKR on Monday.

Mumbai Indians – Win 4 out of 6 Games: Defending champions Mumbai Indians after defeat at the hands of CSK are now on a sticky wicket. Any more hiccups can prove very costly to MI.

Rohit Sharma’s team is currently at 4th place with 4 victories and 4 defeats in 8 matches. Despite a shaky start at the beginning, MI bounced back in the later half of IPL Phase 1 in India.

The Rohit Sharma-led side, who has won the IPL title record 5 times will now tread very carefully in IPL Playoff Race.

MI has to face Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Delhi Capitals (DC), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), and Punjab Kings (PBKS).

Rajasthan Royals – Minimum 4 Wins in 7 Matches: The Sanju Samson-led side is at the fifth position in the points table with 3 victories and 4 defeats from 7 matches. They looked shaky and good only in patches. They will be missing few of their key players in IPL Phase 2 & would require minimum 4 wins in 7 games to qualify.

They have matches lined up against  Punjab Kings (PBKS), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Mumbai Indians (MI), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Delhi Capitals (DC), and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

Punjab Kings – 5 Victories of 6 Remaining Matches: The perrenial under-achievers of IPL, Punjab Kings this time is currently at the sixth spot in the IPL points table. KL Rahul side struggled in PHASE 1 and could muster only 3 victories of 8 matches. They have tremendous squad at disposal but would need 5 victories in remaining 6 matches to qualify for play-offs.

In the second leg, they have to face: Rajasthan Royals (RR), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), and Mumbai Indians (MI).

Kolkata Knight Riders – 5 victories of 7 matches: Eoin Morgan’s side is struggling & have a very little chance to qualify for Playoffs. They are currently at No. 7 with only 2 victories to their credit in 7 matches. With 7 remaining games KKR needs minimum 5 victories and will hope other in contention slips.

KKR have to lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Delhi Capitals (DC), Punjab Kings (PBKS), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Mumbai Indians (MI), and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the remaining 7 matches.

SunRisers Hyderabad – 6 out of 7 matches SRH should Win: SRH is the bottom placed side in the IPL Points table with only 1 win in 7 games. If they have to qualify they will have to do a complete reversal i.e 6 victories of 7 matches.

Kane Williamson led side can’t afford any slip-up. 1 defeat and they will be out of contention for IPL Playoffs.

In the UAE leg, they will face Delhi Capitals (DC), Punjab Kings (PBKS), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Mumbai Indians (MI) Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
